Bootlegs 2 : Champagne Coast
Today is my birthday - 23rd December.
I am now 24.
I started "off" my (birth) day by heading to the Lincoln Center, to try and grasp some kind of inspiration or something, I guess...
I decided that I really wanted to go to the gift shop, and maybe purchase some music or performance, or notepad with Bernstein's face on it (perhaps?) as a present t'wards myself.
I saw that there was a Blu Ray section of performances that have been put on by the Metropolitan Opera. Now, did I mention that there's a Blu Ray player in my apartment? Chris and I managed to get it for cheap when we moved in, we have Young Frankenstein and Wall E. (Blu Ray disks are too expensive.)
I decided to see what Mozart disks they had, I picked up a copy of "Die Entführung aus dem Serail".
Amazing.. it's only..
Oh.
$44.
Blu Ray disks are too expensive.
I then realised that I would be much better off just purchasing the normal DVD.
$40.
I purchased no DVD's.
Instead, I went to Porchetta, a great delight, but something i'm hugely paying the price for as I sit in my living room right now clutching my stomach... Empire Strikes Back.
Roughly one week ago -- I was going through various things that needed to be done, starting from as soon as I woke up. When I decided, enough already.. I started working on a new song. I ended up so completely engulfed and wrapped up in it, so much so. That when I had finished working on it, it was 9:45 pm, and I hadn't left my bedroom once. Not even to use the toilet.
A side note : i've spent the last 2 weeks destroying my body. Truly, everything, you name it, four packs of skittles a day? Sure.. half glasses a-plenty... disgusting myself. Binge Winge.
I have a cute/torrid little pop belly thanks to my exploits, anyhow.
9:45. I decided i'd order a pizza.. (yes, i know...) The phone was engaged, I must have called roughly 10 times.. when, damn. I had to leave my room. Luckily, the place I was calling is literally two blocks away.
I arrive back in my bedroom, having drank a large coke and a Dr Pepper whilst waiting for my pizza to be ready( seriously.. i've just been craving sugar, I need it to keep awake. I don't even have a sweet tooth, i'm planning on fixing myself right now.).. I then sat in my chair, and ate the pizza, without stopping..
I woke up 4 hours later, with literally the last bite of pizza half way down my throat. I felt like such shit, i don't think anything had (readers) digested..
