Here's a description from the Domino website : Majestic and epic, Marlene is full of headlong melodies and expansive arrangements, where the grandness is frequently allowed to loom rather than thunder, yielding to passages of repose, before the infectious rhythm kicks in again.
Dev Hynes plays every instrument on all four b-sides himself - a concerto; a cover of Serge Gainsbourg’s 69 Année Erotique (completely in French!), Tête Morte, a french version of a song from the forthcoming full length, and his version of (He’s) The Great Imposter, written in 1961 by eighteen-year old Sharon Sheeley, the fiancé and songwriter of Eddie Cochran.

- So I listened to it today... and it's incredibily good !!! A short synthesis of your talents, some compositions, a piano thing, a cover... A Gainsbourg cover ! So good ! I loved the parallel with the original, with the english accent on the male part this time ! And another song in French ! Thanks, it's the greatest thing I've heard so far this decade

Love "Tête Morte" with the "Madame Van Damme"-ish piano melody at the end...
Spotify is an awesome and legal streaming service btw, free with ads or "premium" for 9,99€/month without ads... Most of your previous EPs and your 1st album is on there (because they probably have an agreement with Domino)...
